Saeima Foreign Affairs Committee in its statement deems Russia a state sponsor of terrorism (02.08.2022.)
On Tuesday, 2 August, the Foreign Affairs Committee of the Saeima adopted a statement on Russia's targeted military attacks against civilians and public areas in Ukraine, recognising Russia's violence against civilians as terrorism and Russia as a state sponsor of terrorism. The statement of the Committee calls on EU countries to immediately suspend the issuance of tourist and entry visas to Russian and Belarusian citizens.
The desecration of the graves of Polish soldiers in Belarus is a reprehensible act that contradicts a whole series of treaties on respect for the rights of national minorities at international, regional and bilateral level.
