Live streams

Institutions and organisations interested in embedding live streams of the Saeima plenary sittings, radio programme “Parliamentary Group Opinions” or other events on their websites, are requested to submit a written application to the Saeima Administration, indicating specific sittings or other events they would like to embed, the target website, the purpose and length of embedding period.

If the Saeima Administration grants permission to embed the live stream in the specified website, the applicable terms and conditions are sent to the applicant.

Terms and conditions for using live streams

Institutions and organisations have the right to embed live streams of the Saeima plenary sittings or other events on their websites upon receiving permission from the Saeima Administration, and by agreeing to comply with the applicable terms and conditions.

Live streams of the Saeima sittings, radio programme “Parliamentary Group Opinions” and other events are the property of the Saeima Administration and are subject to the Copyright Law.

It is prohibited to use the live stream or videos from the archive in a manner that discredits the Saeima and the people appearing in the material or misleads the viewers about the circumstances in which the material was filmed; moreover, the material cannot be used for commercial or advertising purposes. When embedding the live stream, it is mandatory to indicate the Saeima Administration as the copyright holder.

Depending on the nature of the copyright violation and consequences thereof, violators will be held criminally or administratively liable in accordance with the law.
